About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and mechanically minded Mechanical Technician to join our client's workshop team. This is a hands-on role suited to candidates with experience in mechanical assembly, fitting, refurbishment, and servicing of mechanical components and equipment.

The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have strong attention to detail, and possess a solid mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and assemble mechanical parts and products using hand tools including screwdrivers, circlip pliers, cutters, and related equipment.
  • Strip down and disassemble products using tools such as spanners, hammers, Allen keys, tongs, and screwdrivers.
  • Inspect, clean, and refurbish mechanical components using wire brushes, linishers, bench grinders, drills, and other workshop equipment.
  • Calibrate equipment to product specifications and accurately record service information and maintenance history.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, mechanical fitting, or a similar workshop environment.
  • Strong experience using hand and power tools.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with oxy-acetylene equipment and small lathes.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Experience using ERP systems is advantageous but not essential.
